One time recently, when I was in the Jean-Talon Market, I was (finally!) able to get a cup of Matcha. If you didn’t know, matcha is rather expensive (though, I might add, you don’t use much of it at a time), and this was the main reason I hadn’t had it before.
Anyway, for 3$, I got a cup of it, and must say, I quite liked it (of course, have I ever had a kind of tea I didn’t like?).

The flavour was very light, not bitter at all, with a familiar sencha-esque flavour and a very smooth mouthfeel.
I think I’ll think more seriously about getting some matcha of my own, now, and, of course, the necessary hardware (a dedicated strainer, scooper/sifting thing, and whisk).
