Qishr (Yemeni Husks of Coffee)

This one is a little unusual. In a good way, though.I found this on eBay one time that I was looking for coffee. It is the dried fruit thing that grows around a coffee bean, mixed with ginger and cinnamon.

It’s a spicy, warming drink. Obviously it has the flavours of ginger and cinnamon, but the coffee husks add a sort of fruitiness to it, and a slight acidity, as well as a vague sweetness, sort of like licorice but not as strong.
